I know there will be no performance difference, but as far as overclocking CPU goes, will the mhz ram be better? Both are Corsair Vengeance. The mhz has a timing of and the mhz has a timing of Which kit would be better for overclocking? Thanks in advance. I will mainly be gaming on this computer, but it is my first computer that will actually have some sort of "power" for me to be able to play the games I want on high settings and such.

I will most likely get into other things besides gaming too. This PC will have to last me many years, so I'll probably go ahead and get the mhz when it comes time to order. Pinhedd noted that there's a performance difference on bandwidth hungry graphics cards.

Would a MSI Lightning be bandwith intensive? Thanks everyone for your input so far. I really appreciate the help. Which would you recommend on a computer that will be mainly used for gaming on max settings at p? Are you happy with your Mushkin RAM? Would you recommend it over Corsair? Thanks for all the help so far. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Thread starter Zaspera Start date Oct 9, Zaspera New Member.

For some folks, 16 gb is a must, and for some other less but faster ram is also a great upgrade. For gaming, i doubt you will see huge benefits, maybe a few fps.

Not worth the money in my opinion. But if you photoshop a lot or some other ram eating program i don't know , then you will feel your 16 gb upgrade almost all the time, so in this situation it is well worth the money.

It all depends what you do wiht it. I play WoW and CoD. I don't think memory speed itself will help that much anyway, latency is still king no? Correct me if I am wrong. Tsumi [H]F Junkie.
