NK Guru. Love Xper 3. So, I believe in wearing only skirts and dresses, no pants allowed. I wear leggings under my dress or skirt if it's cold out but wouldn't wear them alone for they show too much.
Xper 7. LOL I feel somehow like a Woodstock chick in long skirts. You answered the question, i'd like to know. In my country, girls wear skirts very very rarely, so I am used to pants, so I prefer them more. AynonOMouse Master. I like it if they wear tight shiny shorts, but not so short that their cheeks show. I like a nice pair of dress slacks, but nothing beats a nice skirt or dress. Just my style. A skirt or dress is so comfortable, feminine and pretty. I like skirts better, but if you wear it here, the skirt isn't going to stay down because of the wind.
But I like how it looks, the easy access is a perk, too. I love skirts! Why do I not wear minis to work 0r why do I where them outside of work? Sincerely I prefer skirts, yet is difficult to find modest and casual ones in my size.
I use both, but mostly pants. Xper 6. I like skirts more but there are so girls that slay jeans they make the jeans look to good. Jaheim, "Tight Jeans", Always wear a skirt.
It looks perfect on a woman. I feel at home in them although I get more compliments in skirts and dresses. People say I should wear them more especially pencil skirts. Pants allow me ease and freedom of movement. I wore skirts as a child and in catholic school as far back as I can remember I hated them.
When I would go out to play I would change into play clothes pants and I would think "freedom" in my braveheart voice. I can't find a dress I feel good in at all so it's really no contest. I used to wear dresses about 20 years ago and I'm remembering them as cool and comfortable in the summer, but now I can't find one that doesn't look too young, girly, cute, short, etc. I feel silly in every one I try on. Long time lurker, first time poster here -- and definitely on Team Skirt. Midi skirt makes me feel feminine.
Pants -- no matter what style -- just feel functional, nothing more. I have had positions at a moment in time when skirts and jackets ruled. It was okay, but I am all about the myriad of pant options.
Pants for me too -- mostly because of practically and not having to worry about showing parts I don't want to show. In the right context though I can feel more powerful in a dress than in pants. Skirts though, ugh, they don't get me.
Probably pants. I had to wear dresses and skirts in school until junior high, when they decided to let girls wear pants. I still remember how cool and worldly I felt pulling on pants for school. But one result of the dress code was that I became very comfortable in skirts and dresses and wore them frequently until my late 30's, when I wanted to dress more comfortably and casually.
I've worn mostly pants since then until quite recently when, as a result of YLF, I've started enjoying wearing dresses and skirts again, as I learn how to style them so they don't look too dressy or precious. I suspect I'll continue wearing pants more often, but I'm sure having a good time with skirts and dresses, too! If I don't take into account the weather, I feel as psychologically comfy in trousers as I do in a full midi skirt.
I am as androgynous as I am ladylike - polar opposite but feel just as right and powerful. I'm psychologically more comfortable in a skirt, but pants probably win on the physical comfort side by a smidgen because I get so cold all the time.
I find skirts more convenient and easier to fit! I used to be psychologically more comfy in pants I would do the same kind of sitting things you've described , but then I decided I wanted to be more feminine and switched to skirts as my pants wore out. I have now started adding pants back into my wardrobe.

Yet, They are not practical. And to encourage women to wear them in occasions that requires a lot of walking and standing, Is a crime.
Whoever suggested wearing more heels to women, Who is a man, Should really buy a pair for yourselves and wear them for a day, Before making that comment to a lady. I do suggest that more men should wear heels, For gender equality as well as for our art and fashion development. Skirts are a thing of the past because they are impractical and are inferior to pants in every important way.
Men want girls to wear them because girls usually break the skirt rules and then expose their underwear. Men abandoned dresses because failed to accomplish the main goal of clothes and were impractical for doing other physical activities. Girls should now do the same.
